Senior Basketball player Monica White (Augusta, ME) was named the Rivier College Female Student Athlete of the Month for February 2010. White became only the second 4 year player since 1998 to score 1000 points in her career and the 12th in school history. Her 1000th point came against Albertus Magnus College in the second to last regular season game of her career. She scored on a three pointer with about 3minutes left in the first half to reach the mark and ended the game with 12 points and 6 rebounds. For the month of February, White led the team with 13.4 points per game, lifting the Raiders into the playoffs, while also grabbing 5.6 rebounds per game and 2.1 assists per game. She scored a season high 23 points to start off the month against St. Joseph (CT) College, while also pulling down 9 rebounds in the game. White is a double major in Biology and Pre-Med at Rivier as well as being a 2 sport athlete, she will be starting her softball season at the beginning of March.
