Entering his first year at Rivier College, Phil Massa has spent the past four seasons as the Chelmsford High School Boys Junior Varsity coach, as well as, a Boys U18 Junior Olympic Volleyball coach with Nor’east Volleyball. Massa played his high school volleyball at Chelmsford High. He also enjoyed a three year volleyball career at the University of Massachusetts Lowell where he earned all-conference honors in each of those seasons.

At the University of Massachusetts Lowell he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in history and sociology. Massa is currently attending graduate school at UMASS Lowell to obtain his graduate degree in secondary education
