Student-Athlete’s of the Month - October

Cameron Williams (Lisbon, NH), was named the Rivier College Male Student-Athlete of the Month for October.  Williams, a sophomore Business Finance major at Rivier, plays defense for the Raiders men's soccer team and has been an important part of the rebuilding process for the team.  His hustle and determination has been a great example for the young Raider squad and his play helped the Raiders to a 3-5 record over the month of October.  In the back field he has been all over the ball and his improved play has been a major reason why the goals against the Raiders have dropped dramatically, from over 5 goals per game last season to only 2.76 this season.

Kenna Finlayson (Derry, NH), was named the Rivier College Female Student-Athlete of the Month for October.  Finlayson, an outside hitter on the women's volleyball team, has had an unbelievable October.  During the month, Kenna has led the team by putting down 198 kills, averaging 4.04 kills per game with a .349 hitting percentage.  She broke the Raiders single game kill record by putting down 30 in a 5 set victory over UMass-Dartmouth.  Finlayson also led the team in service aces with 26, was second in blocks with 15 and chipped in on defense with 45 digs.  Kenna's play helped the Raiders secure the #4 seed in the GNAC playoffs as they go for their third straight GNAC Championship.
