Nashua, NH Rivier freshman middle hitter Taylor Lindner (Cheshire, CT) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Mens Volleyball Rookie of the Week for March 1 March 7, 2010. Lindner helped the Raiders to a 4-2 week, including wins over two AVCA top 15 teams. For the week, Lindner amassed 63 total kills and hit for a .382 percentage along with racking up 31 blocks for a 1.35 blocks per game average.
Nashua, NH Rivier College senior Jess Mellen (Rockland, MA) has been named to the New England Womens Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior All-Star Classic basketball game. The game has become a great tradition and memorable way for seniors to finish their collegiate careers.

The Raiders wasted no time in responding after freshman Katie Bachinski (Northfield, MA) was hit by a pitch, stole second base and scored on an RBI single by freshman Marissa Mercier (N. Smithfield, RI).

No-6 Rivier College (22-6 overall; 9-1 GNAC) defeated a pair of top 15 teams to improve their overall record to 22-6 for the year. The Raiders jumped off the 7 hour bus ride to Rochester and took on # 15 Nazareth College on Friday evening in their opening match of the weekend.
