Anthony Perry enters his 7th season as Head Coach of the Rivier University Baseball program when the first pitch is thrown in 2018.

Since his hiring in August of 2011, Perry has slowly started to transform the program. Over the past few seasons the Rivier Baseball program has had a roster size of 30 student-athletes; which is more than double what Coach Perry had in his first season. The team has won more games in the past three seasons than it did in the three previous to Perry's arrival.

Perry is a 2008 graduate of Fisher College in Boston, Mass. He played all four seasons under Head Coach Scott Dulin where he became a three-time All-Conference and NAIA All-Region outfielder. Upon graduation, he became the first student-athlete from Fisher to sign a professional contract when he agreed to play for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Perry spent two seasons in SoMD gaining valuable knowledge of the game from former Major Leaguers such as Michael Tucker, Ken Harvey and Andy Etchebarren.

A native of Andover, Massachusetts, Coach Perry spent his high school and college summers catching bullpens for the Nashua Pride (2002-2007), earning a Can-Am League Championship in 2007. While with the Pride, Perry was able to learn a great deal from former Major League manager Butch Hobson along with other former big leaguers that came through Historic Holman Stadium.

Prior to his arrival at Rivier, Perry spent three seasons as an Assistant Coach at Fisher College. He helped guide his alma matter to three consecutive conference titles and three appearances in the NAIA Post-Season.

Perry still plays baseball competitively as he is a member of the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Yawkey Baseball League Champion, the Somerville Alibrandis. He also earned a YBL Gold Glove at Third Base in 2017.

Perry was inducted into the Fisher College Hall of Fame in 2010 and is also the Sports Information Director for Rivier University.
