WENHAM, MA. -- Gordon cruised to victory in their final home game of the season, defeating visiting Rivier 6-0 in non-conference action. Sophomore forward Samantha Neverett had 2 goals to lead the way for the Scots, finishing with a team-high 9 goals this season. Brianne Gilbert also added 2 goals.

Lindsay Rettenmeier (Ashford, CT), a freshman on the Rivier College Field Hockey team was named the Rivier Female Student-Athlete of the Month for her contributions to her team during the month of September. Gustavo Marques (Lowell, MA), a senior captain for the Rivier College Men’s Soccer team was named the Rivier Male Student-Athlete of the Month for his contri-butions to his team during the month of September.

Simmons Notches first Conference Victory Over Rivier
Nashua, NH – The Raiders of Rivier College welcomed the Simmons College Sharks to campus today and gave Simmons their first NAC conference victory 5-1. Both teams started the day winless in conference play and with 3 remaining conference games for each team, both needed today’s victory to climb out of the basement and give themselves a chance at a playoff berth.

NORTON, MA- Wheaton College field hockey sophomore Emily Asack (Stoughton, MA/Stoughton) notched a hat trick and the Lyons turned in a season high for goals during Wednesday afternoon's 8-0 victory over visiting Rivier College in a rescheduled match on Clark Field during the teams' first meeting.

Rivier Picks Up First Win Of 2009
Nashua, NH – Rivier College stepped on the field for their second game of the season against another young program in the Regis College Pride. Just 2:36 into the first half Rivier’s Ashley Ruocco (Fr, E. Kingston, NH) scored her first goal of the season and gave Rivier a 1-0 lead that they would never give up.
