Rivier Student-Athletes Earn Academic Team Award

Nashua, NH – The student-athletes on the Rivier College Women's Field Hockey Team have earned the 2010 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award. The award, presented by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and Gladiator Custom Mouth Guards, is awarded to all Division III teams that acquire a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall 2010 semester. 82 Division III team across the country, including Rivier College, were awarded this honor, including 24 teams in New England and 3 other North Atlantic Conference (NAC) teams. 4 of the 8 teams that played as part of the NAC in 2010 were given the academic award, the other NAC teams joining Rivier were Lasell College, St. Joseph's College of Maine and Castleton College.
