Rivier College Welcomes New Head Field Hockey/Lacrosse Coach
Nashua, NH - The Rivier College athletic department and community is pleased to announce the addition of Kathryn Gaudreau and welcome her as the new Head Coach of both the Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse teams. Coach Gaudreau joins the Raiders after spending the last three seasons as the head field hockey and assistant/interim head lacrosse coach at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH.
During her time at Saint Anselm, Gaudreau had the most successful field hockey season in school history while bringing the team to its first ever NE-10 tournament, advancing to the semi-finals. In 2009 she had two players named to the DII North-South All Star Game and had 11 of 21 players named to the dean's list for academic achievement.
In lacrosse, Gaudreau maintained the defensive part of the program during her first two seasons as an assistant coach, then was given the title of interim head coach during the 2010 season. In 2010, she implemented a new offense into the team and had a player named to the NE-10 and ECAC All-Star teams.
Prior to St. Anselm, Gaudreau served as the head field hockey coach at St. Bernard's High School in Fitchburg, MA for four seasons and the Assistant Varsity/Head JV coach of the women's lacrosse team at St. Bernard's for two seasons.
Gaudreau received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Certificate in Secondary Education from St. Anselm College in 2003 and was also a four year member of the Women's Field Hockey Team, where she is still the all time leading scorer, made the NE-10 First Team All Conference in 2001 and was a team captain during her senior season. She also received her Master's Degree in American History from Providence College in 2005.
Rivier College is excited to have Coach Gaudreau join its family and bring with her a wealth of knowledge that can help build both programs for the future.
Gaudreau currently resides in Goffstown, NH with her husband and son.
