Men's Soccer Follows Suit and Names 2 Raiders to All Conference Teams

Nashua, NH - After a slow start, the men's soccer team finished the season by winning 3 of their final 5 games.  In return, junior Chris Nugent (Camberley, Surry - England) was named to the GNAC All-Conference 3rd Team while sophomore Cameron Williams (Lisbon, NH) was named to the GNAC All Sportsmanship team.

Nugent led the Raiders with 11 goals and 5 assists on the season.  He played and started in all 17 games for the Raiders this season while helping the team to a 4-13 record.  Nugent was a constant scoring threat for the Raiders and converted a perfect 4 penalty kicks in 4 tries and scored 2 game winning goals to help the Raiders to victory.

Williams, a defenseman for the Raiders, was named by his teammates to the All Sportsmanship Team.  Although his stats are not impressive, his determination on the field has helped the Raiders just as much as anyone on the field.  The Raiders goals against average dropped by more than 3 per game since last season, in huge part to Williams and his ability to converge on the ball and eliminate shot opportunities by Rivier opponents.  Williams started 16 games and didn't receive a single sanction during the season.
