White is ECAC Pitcher of the Week

Rivier College senior pitcher Monica White (Augusta, ME) was named ECAC (Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference) Pitcher of the Week shortly after being named GNAC (Great Northeast Athletic Conference) Pitcher of the Week.  The ECAC uses each conferences winners for Pitcher of the Week, Rookie of the Week, and Player of the Week within the region to select 1 overall winner for both Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week categories.  During the week White went 3-0, pitching 20+ innings and recording 27 strikeouts.  White boasted a 0.00 ERA while giving up only 7 hits during the 3 games.  This marks the third time a Raider pitcher has been awarded ECAC Pitcher of the Week, White has been the recipient of the award all three times, with the other two coming during her sophomore season.
