Raiders Slowed Down By Saints 11 – 3

Nashua, NH, Raider Field – The Rivier University Raiders (5 – 3, 3 – 1 GNAC) fell to the Emmanuel College Saints (6 – 2, 6 – 0 GNAC) 11 – 3 tonight in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup.  Emmanuel used a five goal run over ten minutes in the 1st half to open up a 6 – 1 lead.  The Raiders worked to respond, scoring two goals to close out the 1st half and pull within three at 6 – 3 going into the half.  Rivier was able to put together some stretches of possession in the 2nd half but they were unable to find the back of the net.  The Saints goalie Lauren White (Sophomore – Lynnfield, MA) made some timely saves to keep the Raider attack at bay.  At the other end, Emmanuel was able to tack on 5 more strikes and wrap up the 11 – 3 win.
