Carvalho Named GNAC Player of the Week

Rivier College senior Sabrina Carvalho (Tyngsboro, MA) was named the GNAC Player of the Week for the week ending October 25, 2009.  During the week Sabrina scored 3 goals and had 1 assist as the Raiders went 1-3 on the week.  The highlight of the week was a 6-2 win against Newbury College, in which Carvalho scored 2 goals and assisted classmate Emily Ingram on another.  Over the weekend Rivier dropped two tough conference games, but Carvalho did her best as she scored the Raiders lone goal against St. Joseph's College of Maine in a 2-1 loss, which at the time tied the game.  The Photography/Spanish major will finish up her collegiate career this week when the Raiders will host Southern Vermont College on Wednesday, October 28 at 7:00 PM.
