Coach Simoneau is entering his 6th season as the women's soccer head coach. After two years as an assistant coach and four years as the Head Coach for the Men's program at Rivier, Jeff is now putting his full concentration into the woman's progam. He will be the Head Coach of the Women's team only after splitting duties as the Head Coach of both teams in 2005. 

Prior to his responsibilities at Rivier, Coach Simoneau wore several hats as the Head Coach of Don Bosco High School in Boston, MA, Head Coach of the U-18 Klein Soccer Club in Houston, Texas, and President of the River Valley United Soccer Club in Massachusetts. In addition to his soccer coaching duties, Jeff is the Assistant Director of Admissions at Rivier.

Simoneau is a proud alumnus of Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA. He is well-traveled with playing and living stops in France, Turkey, and Copenhagen. Simoneau also speaks French fluently. He earned his bachelors degree in History from Northeastern University where his favorite courses were Military History of the Civil War and of World War II.

Coach Simoneau's motto: "you + motivation = success" was taken from his famous uncle Jimmy Valvano of North Carolina State fame.

Rod Hanson graduated from Stonehill College and played on the Men Soccer varsity as the Goal Keeper. Hanson then served as the head coach at Campbell HS in Litchfield , NH for 9 years, where he led the team to a state championship.

Lauren graduated from Rivier College 2006 where she was a 3 year Captain for the women soccer team.  Lauren also got her feet wet on the coaching circut when she coached at Alvirne HS in Hudson, NH in 2008.
