RIVIER DEFEATS ALBERTUS MAGNUS

New Haven, CT

Rivier College (4-1 GNAC; 13-10 overall) defeated Albertus Magnus College to win their third straight and fourth overall GNAC match.  Freshmen Meghan Farrell and Christi Pratte led the Raiders offense with 6 kills and 12 assists respectively while classmate Hannah Sturman paced the defense with a team high 15 digs.  First year players Courtney Roberts-Cookson and Amanda Russo combined for 7 digs while Amelia Iverson chipped in with 5 kills.  Junior Brittni Taylor rounded off the Raider line-up with 8 digs, 5 kills and 2 ace serves along with solid passing.

Rivier will travel to Simmons College on Saturday 10/17 for 2 more GNAC match-ups.  At 1:00pm Rivier will take on St Joseph's College (ME) and then at 3:00pm the Raiders will challenge Simmons College. 

Rivier will then play it's last regular season home match on Tuesday 10/20 against Johnson & Wales University at 8:00pm
