NEWVA Announces All New England Seniors
BRISTOL, R.I.- The New England Women’s Volleyball Association has announced the honorees for the All New England Seniors. Thirty-two seniors and 10 honorable mention seniors have earned the honor recognizing their contributions to collegiate volleyball in New England.

Rivier Women's Volleyball Racks Up All-Conference Honors
Nashua, NH – Five members of the Rivier College Women’s Volleyball Team were recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Association (GNAC) for their tremendous play during the 2010 volleyball season by being named to the GNAC All-Conference Team.

Rivier Volleyball Falls One Game Short
Providence, R.I. – Senior Catherine Bravo (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2010 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship after leading the top-seeded Johnson & Wales women's volleyball team to a 3-1 win (17-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-20) against second seeded Rivier at the Harborside RAC on Saturday afternoon.

Nashua, NH – The Rivier College Raiders are headed to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship match for the fifth time in the last six seasons after a 3-1 victory tonight at the Muldoon Health and Fitness Center in Nashua, NH against Emerson College.

PEACOCK SETS SINGLE SEASON BLOCKING RECORD; SACCOCCIO NAMED TO ALL CLASSIC TEAM
Danbury, CT - In the opening match on Friday night, Rivier College (18-10 overall; 9-1 GNAC) and Colby-Sawyer College split the first two games, with Rivier winning 25-20 and Colby-Sawyer storming back for a 25-12 victory.

Raiders Take Down Cross Town Rival Daniel Webster in Straight Sets
Nashua, N.H. Sophomore Kenna Finlayson (Derry, N.H.) belted out a match high eight service aces, and added seven kills and four digs helping Rivier College sweep host Daniel Webster College, 3-0 in the annual women's volleyball matchup of intracity rivals Tuesday night at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.

Raiders Back On Track Defeat Two More GNAC Foes
Boston, MA - Rivier College (9-1 GNAC; 15-9 overall), winners of their last 9 out of 10 matches, defeated both St Joseph College (CT) and Suffolk University 3-1 to improve their conference record to 9-1. The Raider freshmen stepped in and stepped up against St Joseph College as 6 of the 8 Raider newbies saw significant playing time in the match.

Raiders Send The Saints Marching
Nashua, NH - Rivier College (7-0 GNAC; 13-8 overall) hosted Emmanuel College for a Columbus Day encounter and sent the Saints home with their 3rd GNAC loss of the season. The Raiders played steady consistent ball in the first 2 sets for a 2-0 lead but Emmanuel would not go away as they came back to win set 3 after losing the second set by 17 points.

Rivier Sweeps Pine Manor And Simmons
Chestnut Hill, MA - Rivier College (6-0 GNAC; 12-8 overall) defeated a pair of GNAC opponents to remain undefeated in conference play and run their overall win streak to 6 straight matches. In the opening match Rivier swept the Gators of Pine Manor College 3-0 with all 15 active Raider players helping in the victory.

Nashua, NH - Rivier College sophomore Kenna Finlayson (Derry, NH) has been named the Women's Volleyball Player of the Week by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. Finlayson, an outside hitter on the Rivier College volleyball team led the Raiders to a 3-0 week over 3 conference opponents.

Raiders Make it Four In A Row Over Lasell, 3-1
Nashua, NH - It was Dig Pink night at the Muldoon Health & Fitness Center as the Rivier College Raiders hosted Lasell College in a GNAC volleyball match. The Raiders prevailed 3-1 in the match while also raising money to support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

Raiders Fly Past Falcons And Fight Off The Cadets
Northfield, VT - Rivier College (9-8 overall; 3-0 GNAC) defeated Albertus Magnus College and Norwich Academy to move to 3-0 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference standings. The Raiders utilized their entire roster and swept AMC 3-0 and then went on to defeat Norwich in a 5 set thriller despite being behind in all 5 games in the match.

Raiders Are Thinking Pink For A Cure
Nashua, NH - October is breast cancer awareness month and the Rivier College Raider are doing their part to help the cause. Throughout the month each Raider team, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball and field hockey, will be hosting a think pink event to help raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the largest breast cancer research organization in the country.

Raiders Upset Pre-Season Favorite Emerson College
Nashua NH - Rivier College (1-0 GNAC; 7-8 overall) picked up their first GNAC win of the year with a 3-1 win over pre-season favorite Emerson College (5-1 GNAC; 13-3 overall). The Raiders handed the 2009 GNAC Champions their first GNAC loss of the season and scored their first win over the Lions in the last 3 meeting.

Worcester, MA The Rivier College womens volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches today at the campus of Clark University. The Raiders started the day with a 0-3 loss to MIT, but were able to rebound against Clark, sweeping the home team 3-0 in match two on the day.

NEW LONDON, N.H. September 16, 2010 The Colby-Sawyer womens volleyball team fell to the visiting Raiders of Rivier College, 3-1 on Thursday evening in a non-conference battle between intrastate foes. The Raiders improve their record to 3-5, while Colby-Sawyer drops to 3-4.

Nashua NH - Rivier College (2-5 overall; 0-0 GNAC) was defeated by Salve Regina University in 5 sets on Monday night. The Raiders were riddled by inconsistent play for 3 out of the 5 sets which eventually hurt them in the end against a scrappy and well coached Seahawk squad.

Raiders Look To Return To Championship Form
After a tough 5 set semi-final loss in the 2009 GNAC playoffs, Rivier will look to make a return to the GNAC Championship match for the 2010 season. The seniors and juniors have at least 1 GNAC Championship on their resumes, so expect the upper class women to shoulder the load for the Raiders.
