(Watertown, MA) Rivier University freshman Nicholas Pica allowed just one run but the Raiders bats were silenced for the fourth straight game as Rivier lost 1-0 to Plymouth State University.
Pica, a native of Hampstead, NH, threw just 91 pitches in his complete game effort. He pitched 8 innings allowed just the one run on five hits while striking out 4. Pica did not issue a walk but did hit two batters.

Rivier will be back in action tomorrow night when they take on New England College in a 5pm double-header at Maplewood Park in Malden, Mass. Plymouth State will travel to Eastern Connecticut on Saturday as they begin Little East Conference play.
